POW are seeking an experienced and creative individual to work within our Progression project. You will work with adults who are or have been in the sex working industry. You will support people around education, employment, social inclusion and overcoming barriers to reaching their potential. You will run weekly peer mentoring groups to improve confidence, provide opportunities and foster positive relationships. In addition to being responsible for a caseload of service users within Progression you will work with the team to deliver our core services – our twice weekly drop in and our evening outreach sessions.
The main role responsibilities (further outlined in the Job Description) are:
- To support a caseload of service users on a short and long term basis to achieve personal goals
- To advise service users around their rights including housing, benefits, employment and other areas of life
- To encourage service users to identify their strengths, working with them in the community, at their homes or other venues to promote inclusion
- To lead a weekly peer mentoring progression group for a small number of service users, aiming to improve confidence, work on social inclusion, emotion and mental wellbeing and personal development

Interviews: Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd November 2021
Hours: 31 hours per week, including one evening per week
Salary: £19,446 – £21,693 dependent on experience
