POW Nottingham is looking for a compassionate and proactive Casework Support Worker to provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to people accessing our services.
You will manage a caseload of individuals requiring crisis, immediate and longer-term support, helping them to address complex issues and access the services they need.
Job Purpose
The Casework Support Worker is responsible for providing high-quality, trauma-informed casework support to people accessing POW Nottingham’s services. The postholder will manage a caseload of individuals requiring crisis, immediate and longer-term support, helping them to address complex issues, improve their wellbeing and access the services they need.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations, the postholder will provide advocacy, safeguarding support, risk assessment, multi-agency working and practical interventions to help individuals overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.
Summary of responsibilities
– As our Casework Support Worker you will:
– Manage a caseload of individuals requiring crisis, immediate and longer-term support.
– Undertake holistic assessments and develop person-centred support plans.
– Provide practical support and advocacy around issues including housing, welfare benefits, healthcare, mental health and safety.
– Identify safeguarding concerns, undertake risk assessments and make emergency referrals where necessary.
– Advocate for service users and work with statutory, voluntary and community organisations to improve outcomes.
– Empower individuals to overcome barriers, build confidence and work towards greater independence.
