POW Nottingham is looking for a compassionate and proactive Drop-in and Outreach Worker to provide frontline support through our drop-in and outreach services.
You will build trusted relationships with people accessing our services, provide practical and trauma-informed support and deliver outreach across Nottingham and surrounding areas, helping people to stay safe, access support and improve their wellbeing.
Job Purpose
The Drop-in and Outreach Worker is responsible for delivering high-quality frontline support through POW Nottingham’s drop-in and outreach services. The postholder will provide practical, emotional and trauma-informed support to women involved in sex work, helping them to access services, reduce harm, improve wellbeing and address immediate issues.
The role involves building trusted relationships with individuals, delivering outreach across Nottingham, supporting empowerment activities, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment within the drop-in service, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to improve outcomes for service users.
Summary of responsibilities
As our Drop-in and Outreach Worker you will:
– Deliver safe, welcoming and inclusive drop-in services, providing practical and one-to-one support.
– Deliver on-street and off-street outreach, including evening outreach, to engage people who may not otherwise access support.
– Provide harm minimisation, sexual health and wellbeing resources, information, advocacy and referrals.
– Support empowerment activities, specialist clinics and services delivered alongside partner organisations.
– Identify safeguarding concerns and undertake appropriate risk assessments.
– Build positive relationships with statutory, voluntary and community organisations to improve outcomes for service users.
